ICTJ's design, monitoring, and evaluation intern will contribute to our mission of fighting impunity, affirming victims’ dignity, and promoting responsive institutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the field of human rights and monitoring and evaluation for transitional justice, gender, peacebuilding or related work.

Under supervision by an assigned advisor, interns will:

  • Assist in the design and development of data collection tools to assess the results and learnings of ICTJ programs.
  • Analyze data collected through program evaluations, surveys, and other instruments.
  • Contribute to the writing of evaluation reports and summaries for various stakeholders.
  • Assist with daily design, monitoring, and evaluation tasks.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions related to ICTJ's activities.
  • Interns are encouraged to attend ICTJ events, open meetings, and other local human rights-related events to foster their understanding of current trends in transitional justice.
